a. General Intelligence and Reasoning |
Analytical aptitude and ability to observe and distinguish patterns will be tested through questions principally of non-verbal type. This component may include questions on analogies, similarities and differences, spatial visualization, spatial orientation, visual memory, discrimination, observation, relationship concepts, arithmetical reasoning and figural classification, arithmetic number series, non-verbal series, coding and decoding, etc. |
b. General Knowledge and General Awareness |
Questions in this component will be aimed at testing the candidate’s general awareness of the environment around him. Questions will also be designed to test knowledge of current events and such matters of everyday observations and experience in their scientific aspect as may be expected of any educated person. Physical Efficiency Test (PET) and Physical Standard Test (PST)
Physical Efficiency Test (PET):
The physical efficiency test requires:
- For Male Candidates: 5 km race in 24 minutes.
- For Female Candidates: 1.6 km race in 8.5 minutes.
Physical Standard Test (PST):
PST shall include measurement of height, weight & Chest (as applicable).
Height:
- Male: 170 cm (Relaxation for certain categories)
- Female: 157 cm (Relaxation for certain categories)
Chest (Male Candidates):
- Unexpanded: 80 cm
- Expanded: Minimum expansion of 5 cm
Weight:
- Proportionate to height and age as per medical standards.
Medical Examination (ME) and Document Verification (DV):
Candidates will be shortlisted for Detailed Medical Examination (DME)/ Document Verification from the pool of candidates who qualify the PST/ PET.
At the time of DME and Document Verification, the following documents will be verified:
- Matriculation/ Secondary Examination Certificate to prove age, name and educational qualification.
- Domicile Certificate/ Permanent Resident Certificate (PRC) issued by the competent authority.
- Valid NCC Certificate, if applicable.
- Certificate from serving defence personnel in the format prescribed in Annexure-IV of the Notice.
- Undertaking in the format prescribed in Annexure-V from Ex-Servicemen candidates.
- Caste Certificate (as applicable) in the format prescribed in Annexure-VI, Annexure-VII and Annexure-VIII of the Notice from the candidates seeking reservation/ age relaxation.
- Certificate from candidates who wish to avail of relaxation in height/ chest measurement as prescribed in Annexure-IX of the Notice.
- Certificate from District Collector/ District Magistrate in respect of dependent applicants of riot victims as mentioned in category 4/ 5/ 6 under Para 5.1 of the Notice.
