The National Testing Agency (NTA) has officially announced the re-examination date for the National Eligibility-cum-Entrance Test [NEET (UG)] 2026. The medical entrance test will be conducted offline on Sunday, 21 June 2026. In addition, the NTA has opened a special correction window from 15 May to 21 May 2026, allowing candidates to update their present address and preferred choice of examination cities without any additional fee

Official NEET UG 2026 Re-Examination Schedule

Following the cancellation of the May 3 exam, the NTA has swiftly released the revised schedule for NEET UG 2026. The re-examination ensures candidates have a fair and transparent opportunity for admission into undergraduate medical courses across India.

Key Details of the Re-Exam:

  • New Exam Date: 21 June 2026 (Sunday).
  • Exam Timings: 02:00 PM to 05:15 PM (IST), which includes the time required for pre-examination formalities.
  • Mode of Examination: The test remains in Pen & Paper Mode (Offline). * Language Mediums: The exam will be available in 13 languages, including English, Hindi, Assamese, Bengali, Gujarati, Kannada, Malayalam, Marathi, Odia, Punjabi, Tamil, Telugu, and Urdu.

Update Your Exam City Preference (Correction Window)

Acknowledging that candidates may have changed their present address since the initial registration, the NTA is providing a one-time opportunity to modify preferred exam cities.

  • Window Dates: 15th May to 21st May 2026 (Closes at 23:50 hrs).
  • Cost: No fee will be charged for updating the city preference or for the re-examination itself.
Note: Candidates who do not wish to change their city do not need to take any action; their previously selected city choice will be retained. No other application particulars can be edited during this window.
