SSC GD Admit Card 2026 Key Highlights

28th May 2026 shift moved to 27th May 2026. URGENT UPDATE: The SSC GD Constable exam originally scheduled for 28th May 2026 has been rescheduled to 27th May 2026 due to the revised Id-u-Zuha (Bakrid) holiday. Affected candidates must download their revised admit cards 2-3 days before the new date.

How to Download SSC GD Admit Card 2026

  1. Visit ssc.gov.in
  2. Click Login
  3. Enter Registration Number, Password, Captcha
  4. Go to SSC GD Constable Examination section
  5. Click Admit Card link
  6. If you downloaded earlier for 28/29/30 April, re-download a fresh copy – the corrected version will have both barcodes visible.
  7. Download and take a clear printout on A4 paper.

Selection Process

Documents Required at Centre

  • Printed corrected e-Admission Certificate (with two clearly visible barcodes) – mandatory
  • Original valid Photo ID Proof (Aadhaar, Voter ID, PAN, Driving Licence, Passport)
  • Two recent passport-size photographs (same as uploaded)

Prohibited Items

  • Electronic devices (phones, smartwatches, calculators, etc.)
  • Study materials, notes, loose sheets
  • Any unfair means gadgets

Dress Code Guidelines

Light, comfortable clothing; slippers/sandals preferred; avoid heavy jewellery/metal.

Exam Day Instructions & Rules

  1. Carry corrected admit card – Must have two visible barcodes (top and bottom). If either is missing, re-download immediately.
  2. Follow security screening and biometric verification.
  3. No electronic devices allowed.
  4. Rough sheets provided at centre to be returned.
  5. Follow invigilators’ instructions strictly.
  6. Verify all details on admit card before reaching the centre.

Exam Centre Guidance

Plan route, arrive early, use Google Maps. For candidates in ongoing exam windows (May 18–23, May 25–30), ensure you download a fresh admit card even if you downloaded earlier – barcode fix applies only to those who downloaded before 27 April for 28–30 April slots. Others should still verify both barcodes are present.

City Intimation Slip Details

Released 19 April 2026. Contains only exam city name (not full address). Separate from admit card. Candidates must still download the admit card separately.

Issue: For candidates scheduled on 28, 29, and 30 April 2026, the barcode in the lower part of the e-Admission Certificate may not be visible.
Action Required:
  • Check your admit card for two (02) separate barcodes.
  • If either barcode is missing or unclear, re-download your e-Admission Certificate from the official SSC website.
  • Carry only the corrected admit card (with both visible barcodes) to the exam centre, along with other prescribed documents.
