Check the hall ticket before travelling
The hall ticket provides your assigned venue and candidate-specific instructions. Once it becomes available, check your name, registration number, photograph, centre address, date and session. Use the centre allotted to you and resolve any problem through the official instructions.
A notification PDF confirms the published schedule; it does not replace the hall ticket needed for entry. Save and print the hall ticket separately when TNPSC releases it.
How to recognise an official schedule update
Match the examination name and notification number before relying on an update. TNPSC’s portal lists several recruitments, so make sure a hall-ticket or revised-date notice applies to Group 4 Notification 11/2026.
Check the official notification listing and TNPSC website for subsequent announcements. If a later official notice changes the date or timing, follow that notice along with your hall-ticket instructions.
Plan your preparation
Use the Group 4 syllabus guide to organise topic revision, the previous year question papers for practice, and the preparation guide to plan your remaining study time. Keep the official notification as the reference for the current examination date and entry rules.
Source and last check
Schedule and examination-day instructions are based on TNPSC Notification 11/2026 - English PDF, especially page 1 and Annexure IV. The notification and official listing were checked on 7 October 2026.

General Guidelines
Reach the examination venue allotted on your hall ticket by 8:30 AM IST, and be seated in your assigned place by 9:00 AM. Check the complete venue address before planning your journey. TNPSC does not permit candidate requests to change the examination centre.
Use a black-ink ballpoint pen only. Check your name, registration number and other details on the OMR sheet before using it, and immediately report any defect to the invigilator. Follow the OMR and question-booklet instructions, and remain in the examination hall until the examination ends.
Candidates with serious health issues may, with the Chief Invigilator’s consent, place medicines or other medical requirements on the room invigilator’s table for use if needed. Follow Annexure IV, paragraph 1.4.5. Candidates with approved scribe or compensatory-time arrangements must follow the conditions applicable to their approval.
Show your hall ticket when asked and retain it after the examination. Follow any later official directions and the instructions printed on your hall ticket.

No. The notification requires the entry gates to close 30 minutes before the examination starts. For this session, that means 9:00 AM. Candidates must report one hour before the start, at 8:30 AM, rather than plan to arrive when the gates close.
Notification 11/2026 does not specify a hall-ticket release date. It says eligible candidates must download their hall ticket from TNPSC’s examination portal; it will not be sent by post. Check the official Group 4 notification entry for the release announcement.
The ordinary entry rule requires the downloaded hall ticket and a photocopy of one listed ID. The original ID is explicitly required in the additional verification procedure when the hall-ticket photograph is missing, unclear or mismatched. Follow any further instructions printed on your own hall ticket.
Follow Annexure IV, paragraph 1.3.1. Bring a separate photograph affixed to plain paper with your name, address, registration number and signature, along with copies of the hall ticket and a listed ID. Present the original ID for verification and complete the Chief Invigilator’s countersignature and undertaking procedure.
The notification prohibits water, tea, coffee, snacks and soft drinks inside the examination room. It separately provides a permission-based procedure for necessary medicines and medical requirements. Follow the current official and hall-ticket instructions.
9:30 AM–12:30 PM is the standard examination session. Eligible candidates who have approved scribe or compensatory-time arrangements must follow the timing and conditions applicable to their approval. The notification’s eligibility, application and certificate requirements apply.
