The Staff Selection Commission (SSC) has released an urgent revision to the examination schedule for the Constable (GD) in Central Armed Police Forces (CAPFs) and SSF, and Rifleman (GD) in Assam Rifles Examination, 2026. The examination originally scheduled to be held on 28th May, 2026 will now be conducted on 27th May, 2026. This change is due to the revised date of the holiday on account of Id-u-Zuha (Bakrid). Candidates concerned must take note of the revised examination date and appear accordingly.

URGENT (22 May 2026): If your SSC GD exam was scheduled for 28 May 2026, it has been rescheduled to 27 May 2026. You must download a revised admit card from the candidates' module 2-3 days before the new date.

Official Reschedule of 28 May Exam Shift

In view of the Office Memorandum issued by the Department of Personnel & Training (DoP&T) regarding the change in the date of holiday on account of Id-u-Zuha (Bakrid), the SSC has revised the exam schedule. The Constable (GD) Examination scheduled to be held on 28th May, 2026 will now be conducted on 27th May, 2026. Candidates are advised to regularly visit the official website of SSC for further updates.

General Guidelines

  • Candidate should carry their admit card which is mandatory as it contains exam date, shift timing, and exam centre details.
  • In case there is a mismatch in the date of birth mentioned on the admit card and that given on the photo ID proof, the candidate will not be allowed to give the paper.
  • Candidates should ensure their biometric registration is completed before they enter the exam hall. You will not be allowed to leave the test centre once biometric registration is complete.
  • No candidate will be allowed to leave the exam hall before the paper ends. Leaving without the invigilator's permission will result in being barred from re-entering.
  • Rough sheets provided at the exam centre must be submitted to the invigilator after the exam.
  • SSC will not be responsible for the safe custody of any prohibited items brought to the centre.
  • Candidates are advised to visit the exam centre at least one day in advance so that they reach the centre on time.
