Is there an age limit for CAT?

The latest published CAT eligibility bulletin does not prescribe an age limit. Your date of birth is collected for a complete eligibility check but does not change the result.

What graduation percentage is required for CAT?

General, EWS and NC-OBC candidates need at least 50% or equivalent CGPA. SC, ST and PwD candidates need at least 45%.

Can final-year students apply for CAT?

Yes. Final-year candidates and candidates who have completed degree requirements but are awaiting results may apply, subject to later submitting the certificate and final proof required by the admitting IIM.

Are CA, CS and CMA candidates eligible for CAT?

The published CAT conditions accept completed CA, CS, ICWA/CMA and FIAI professional qualifications when the applicable minimum percentage requirement is met.

Does being CAT eligible guarantee an IIM interview?

No. This result only checks the common minimum CAT eligibility rules. Every IIM has separate shortlisting criteria, including overall and sectional percentiles, academics and other profile factors.

How do I convert graduation marks to percentage?

Divide total marks obtained by total maximum marks and multiply by 100. For example, 2,400 out of 3,000 is 80%.

How should CGPA be converted for CAT?

Use the conversion procedure certified by your university. If the university confirms that no conversion scheme exists, CAT states that percentage is CGPA divided by maximum CGPA, multiplied by 100.

Can I use CGPA × 9.5?

Only if your university officially certifies 9.5 as its conversion factor. It is not a universal CAT conversion rule.
