AP TET Syllabus 2026: choose the correct paper first

The Andhra Pradesh Teacher Eligibility Test (AP TET) is an eligibility examination conducted by the Department of School Education. The 2026 scheme separates the regular-school and special-school routes at both class levels: Paper I(A) and I(B) cover Classes I-V, while Paper II(A) and II(B) cover Classes VI-VIII.

What the A and B papers mean

Route: Regular schools

Classes I-V
Paper I(A)
Classes VI-VIII
Paper II(A)

Paper II(B)

The A/B label is essential. Paper I(B) uses Special Education content in Child Development and Pedagogy but still tests Mathematics and Environmental Studies. Paper II(B) replaces the 60-mark regular subject option with Category of Disability Specialisation and Pedagogy.
